Finishing Services

Steel finishing refers to the processes that are used to improve the appearance and surface properties of steel products. These processes are typically carried out by steel processing companies and they can be applied to both ferrous (containing iron) and non-ferrous (not containing iron) metals.

There are many different types of steel finishing services and Metals USA is pleased to offer the following to its customers:

  • PAINTING: This involves applying a coating of paint to the surface of the steel product to improve its appearance and protect it from corrosion.
  • GALVANIZING: This involves creating a layer of zinc on the surface of the steel product using an electrolytic process. This can be done to improve the appearance of the steel, to provide additional corrosion protection, or to enhance its wear resistance.
  • SHOT BLASTING: This involves using a high-pressure stream of abrasive particles to remove contaminants and other surface imperfections from the steel product. This can be done to prepare the surface for further finishing processes, or to improve the appearance of the steel.
  • PLATING: This involves applying a thin layer of metal to the surface of the steel product using an electroplating process. This can be done to improve the appearance of the steel, to provide additional corrosion protection, or to enhance its conductive properties.
  • POWDER COATING: This involves applying a dry powder coating to the surface of the steel product and then curing it using heat. This can be done to improve the appearance of the steel, to provide additional corrosion protection, or to enhance its wear resistance.
